Boot Size Chart - One for the Men One for the Ladies And How to Use Them
A boot size chart determines the correct boot size to order once you've measured your (or you horse lover's) foot size. Foot size and boot size are not one and the same and the "formula" for converting between the two is something of a mystery, hence the chart. ***
First Measure The Feet
Measure the feet around mid-day when they've had a chance to "spread" a bit. Measuring first thing in the morning can result in the boots being too small. The most accurate way to measure the foot is using one of the measuring tools you see in shoe stores. These automatically provide the size information. If you don't have one of these devices around the house (most of us don't) just place the foot snugly between two blocks or bricks, and measure the distance between the blocks (for both length and width), then use the measure of the larger of your feet. Subtract 0.2" (or 3/16th inch) from each of the measures you take before going to the charts below to find your correct size. ***
