Nose to the Ground November 06 Issue December 03, 2006 |
Hi I hope you'll find this issue of Nose to the Ground interesting, useful, and fun to read. No article this month, just a warm Christmas greeting, but you'll still find links to past articles in the event you missed one or two.
We usually celebrate Thanksgiving close to home but this year travelled down to San Antonio, Texas for the holiday. Enjoyed nice summer-like weather (the temperature here at home had dropped below zero a couple of times during our absence). Besides seeing the sights in San Antonio we visited the Texas hill country including the town of Bandera, the "Cowboy Capital of the World", at least that's what it says on the coffee mug I purchased.
I also purchased a nice t-shirt in Bandera with horses on it which perhaps borders on the tacky side but I really don't care. It was a fun trip.
Smart horse!
Not too much in the way of news this time around. Of course I encourage you to visit Your Guide---- as part of your Christmas shopping activity.
Holiday Shopping Tips
If memory serves me right, some online retailers offered free shipping between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. I haven't found that to be the case this year. However many retailers are offering free shipping on orders over $50 (many do that anyway). Still there's a few incentives out there I can share with you. Still time to take advantage.
Several retailers have bargains for quality metrchandise either through online outlet or closeout which I'll share here. Might be worth a look.
I wish all of you -
A Very Merry Christmas! |
